1. Information we handle

• Account information: your email address, name, account identifier and sign-in provider. Google Sign-In can supply your name, email address and profile picture. Firebase Authentication handles password credentials; Fit U does not store your password in its app database or send it to the AI service.
• Fitness and nutrition information: details you provide, such as age, sex, height, weight, body measurements, goals, diet, training preferences, exercise logs, meals, water intake and custom foods or recipes.
• Activity information: step counts from your device’s motion sensor when you grant permission, or counts you enter manually.
• Photos: images you select or capture for food analysis or custom foods. Food images can contain personal information; only submit images you want processed.
• AI interactions: messages, relevant conversation history, selected food images and a summary of your profile and recorded activity used to answer your request or provide personalization.
• Operational information: account entitlement, AI usage accounting, request status and service diagnostics needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the app. Service providers may process network and device metadata.

You can use local features without an account. Signed-in accounts synchronize supported data to our backend.

2. How we use information

• Sign you in, restore your account and synchronize your records.
• Calculate calorie, nutrient, hydration and training targets.
• Display your logs, progress and personalized fitness guidance.
• Process optional AI questions and food photos, and prepare proposed logging actions for your confirmation.
• Manage plan access, prevent abuse, limit service usage and resolve technical problems.
• Verify and carry out account deletion requests.

Some guidance is generated locally. When an online AI feature is used, relevant data is sent to our backend and Google’s AI services. Automated suggestions and food estimates can be inaccurate; review details before confirming a log. Fit U provides general fitness information, not medical diagnosis or treatment.

3. Service providers and disclosure

Fit U uses Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database synchronization, file storage, backend functions and AI processing. Data is disclosed to these services as needed to provide the features you use. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase’s privacy information.

Barcode and branded-food lookup can query Open Food Facts using a barcode or product search. These lookups do not require AI. See Open Food Facts’ privacy information.

Our database and backend functions are configured in Mumbai, India. Authentication, AI processing and provider infrastructure may process information in other countries. AI requests may use a global service endpoint; all processing is not limited to India.

Fit U does not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where necessary to comply with applicable law, protect users, or prevent fraud and misuse.

These public support pages are hosted on Firebase Hosting. Google may process visitor network information to deliver and secure the website. These pages do not contain advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

4. Storage and retention

Fit U keeps a local copy of app data on your device and synchronizes supported data for signed-in users. Access to account data is restricted through authentication and backend security rules. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Retention windows describe the records available in the app. Older cloud records may remain until cleanup completes; expiration does not guarantee immediate physical deletion. Temporary processing data, provider logs, backups and storage recovery copies follow the applicable provider retention settings.

Food photos submitted for AI analysis are transmitted for processing. Saving a custom-food photo to your paid account is a separate storage action. The app does not promise that all provider processing copies disappear immediately after a response.

5. Your choices and deletion

You can edit your profile and remove supported logs or custom foods in the app. Camera, photo and motion permissions can be changed in your device settings. Online AI is optional and requires the app’s consent step; avoid submitting information you do not want processed.

You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account, or request deletion outside the app on our account deletion page. That page explains verification, data removed and cleanup timing. Uninstalling Fit U alone does not delete your cloud account.

Contact us for access, correction or deletion questions, including any rights available under the laws that apply to you. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact us to request review and deletion.

Website subscriptions and cancellation feedback

Razorpay processes website payment details and recurring-payment authorizations. Fit U stores account-linked subscription, invoice and payment references, verified payment status, paid access and renewal dates, and the version and time of your terms acceptance. We do not store card numbers or UPI PINs.

If you cancel, you may optionally select reasons and write feedback. This is stored privately with your subscription record to help us improve the service; answering is not required to cancel. Firebase hosts account and subscription records. Razorpay separately processes and retains payment records under its own policies and applicable requirements.

Cancel website renewals in My membership before deleting your Fit U account. Deleting an account does not itself cancel a payment-provider mandate.
